Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about preparing, submitting, and publishing your manuscript with Drury Ridge Press.

What types of manuscripts do you accept?

We accept original, previously unpublished fiction and nonfiction manuscripts between 7,500 and 20,000 words. We are seeking well-crafted, compelling short works suitable for eBook publication.

Do you accept AI-assisted writing or reprints?

No. We will not accept any text created with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence, nor do we accept previously published material. All submissions must be 100% human-created original works.

How should I format my manuscript?

Please prepare your manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx). We prefer standard, readable typefaces such as Georgia or Times New Roman, set in a legible size with clean formatting.

How and where do I submit my work?

Please email your manuscript as an attachment along with a brief cover letter describing your work to druryridgepress@gmail.com. Please include the word count and genre in your message.

How long does it take to hear back?

We strive to review every submission as quickly as possible. Due to the volume of submissions we receive, please allow up to two weeks for a response from our editorial team.

Are there any fees to publish with you?

Never. We charge nothing for our services. Drury Ridge Press is a true publishing partner: there are zero fees for authors, and we pay royalties on sales of your published eBook.
